BENEFITS

The Benefits of Dry Ice Cleaning

No Chemicals

The liquid carbon dioxide used to create our dry ice blasting pellets is a byproduct of other materials used in production, therefore reducing the impact that this process has on the environment.

By not using chemicals or solvents, dry ice cleaning is one of the best cleaning options for the environment.

  • The need for chemical storage is eliminated.
  • Employees are not exposed to dangerous chemical handling processes.
  • Dry Ice Cleaning removes chemical residues left behind by other cleaning methods.
  • There are no chemical disposal costs.

Reduced Wear

Due to the nature of our dry ice cleaning methods, the need for abrasive brushes and cleaners is removed.

Dry ice cleaning has obvious benefits over traditional sand blasting as moulds and dies will last much longer.

  • Reduced wear as process is gentle and non-abrasive
  • Highly effective in reaching areas other methods miss
  • Ideal for moulds and dies that require smooth surfaces

No Liquids

Many regions in the Midwest are highly regulated when it comes to water use. Dry ice cleaning eliminates the need for using up our valuable water resources.

Dry ice cleaning is perfect for cleaning in an indoor environment where minimal humidity and air moisture are vital to industry operations.

  • Reduces water consumption in water sensitive regions
  • Dry ice sublimates on contact so no wet floors are left behind
  • No water use means no change in relative humidity to affect other on site processes

Reduced Downtime

Dry ice cleaning is versatile enough to reach places that normal industrial cleaning methods cannot. This reduces the need for machinery to be disassembled, therefore reducing the downtime needed for machines to be cleaned.

Businesses have shown that using the dry ice cleaning method has considerably cut down on CIP time annually and improved productivity.

  • On site cleaning with mobile units reduces non operational time significantly
  • No drying out time required
  • Reduced dismantling of machinery means less downtime - CIP times reduced
Dry ice pellets are created in an eco-friendly way.  The process involves the expansion of liquid carbon dioxide in a die or mold, thus creating snow like pellets.
Dry ice blasting is a safe and environmentally friendly alternative to pressure washing. The dry ice pellets are propelled at supersonic speeds using a compressed air gun. The impact of the dry ice pellets on a dirty or corroded surface creates what amounts to a thermal shock on the surface.
This shock is what breaks up the bond between the surface of the machine or object being cleaned and the dirt or grime buildup.
Dry ice blasting is more effective than regular pressure washing since the materials used to remove the dirt from the surfaces evaporates on impact,
reducing any negative effects it has on the environment.
